The proposal lifecycle
A proposal moves draft → sent → signed, with its state visible on the list — not buried in an inbox. Build it from reusable assets, your terms and fee lines (annual and one-off), give it a reference and an expiry, and send. The client signs electronically; the signed state and the mandate state show separately, so “signed but not paying yet” is visible, not surprising.
The Direct Debit mandate
Acceptance can include setting up the Direct Debit mandate in the same sitting, and the mandate’s state is tracked on the proposal.
PDFs, assets and terms
Every send generates a PDF, and the history of generated PDFs is kept per proposal — what the client saw is always retrievable. Assets (service descriptions, imagery) and your terms are managed once as practice defaults and reused across proposals.
From proposal to engagement
A won proposal becomes the client’s engagement: the service plan, scope changes as they’re agreed, the account team, and the fees ledger — including invoicing state and credit notes — in one commercial view per client.
Practice defaults
Proposal settings — default terms, branding, assets — live at practice level, so every proposal starts from your house style. See Settings reference.
