Client profile

The client record: registered details, the vault, the AI summary.

The client record

Profile is one client’s record on a page: registered details kept current from Companies House (number, registered office, officers, filing dates), contact and commercial facts (industry, VAT scheme, client-since), the account team, activity, and the panes that follow. Which panes show can be configured per client type — a sole trader doesn’t need a directors pane.

The bills inbox address

The client’s bills+<slug>@ forwarding address lives here — visible, copyable, and editable if the generated slug isn’t what you’d say on the phone. Collisions offer suggestions rather than errors.

The vault

The vault holds the client facts that shouldn’t sit in a note — portal logins, authentication codes, references. Secrets are encrypted at rest, revealed only on click by users granted vault access, and every reveal is recorded against the revealer’s name — the “last opened” column shows it. Access is granted per user, per client, in Settings → Users.

The AI summary

A generated overview of the client — recent activity, open work, notable numbers — refreshed on demand and cached. AI usage is metered per client, so the practice can see what its summaries cost. (The summary is a brief, not a source of record: the record is the page around it.)

Profile in All Clients scope

With All Clients selected, Profile renders the practice-wide view instead — the same place the Clients KPI table lives.

NoteA client user opening Profile sees their own company’s record — never the practice’s book.
