Docs / Client work / Knowledge base

Knowledge base

Chat, the log, task threads, tables and the vault — with Teams and Slack relayed in.

One hub, five sources

The knowledge base is a client’s running record as five streams in one place: chat (the live conversation), the log (dated notes for the record), task chats (the threads attached to individual pieces of work), tables (structured client data), and the vault (see Client profile). Each has its own composer; together they answer “what do we know about this client, and when did we learn it?”

Chat and the log

Chat is where the conversation happens — mentions, replies, the day-to-day. The log is the deliberate record: “spoke to the bank”, “client confirmed the disposal” — entries that future-you will search for.

The Teams & Slack relay

Link a client’s Teams channel, Slack channel, or both, and messages relay between them and the hub — a message in Slack reaches Teams and the hub in one sync cycle, and replies from the hub go back out. The client keeps their tool; the practice keeps the record. Channels are linked per client in Settings → Chat channels.

NoteThe relay is deliberately per-channel, not per-account: you link the specific channels a client conversation lives in, and only those are read.

The client's side

Client users see the same hub for their own company and can chat from it — which is what makes the relay useful in both directions: wherever the client answers, the answer lands on the record.
